Menu items can be selected by using the mouse and clicking on items from the menu bar.

On a PC user can use the mouse to select a menu item or the function keys (F1, F2,, F3 etc.) to select many items from the ARMS Record System menu.

Users also have the advantage of using the Alt key. This operates like other menu-driven programs they might have used.
If the user sees the first letter of a menu underlined, this indicates that the user can hold down the Alt key and type that letter to pull down the menu. For example: using Alt-A pulls down the ARMS Record System Menu.
Users can then press the first letter of the module of that menu they want to access, and press enter once that module is highlighted.
