ARMS - CAD - Property

Selecting the property button will allow you to edit a property file that is in ARMS, add new properties to ARMS, or edit properties that you have added to an event.

 

Linking Property in ARMS

If the property has already been entered into ARMS, you can link it to the event. First, enter the known information for the property and click search.

 

 

Property Number – Property tracking number

Case Number – Case Reference Number

CAD Number – CAD Reference number

Date Entered – Date property was first added to ARMS.

Property Type – guns, bicycle, etc.

Make – manufacturer of the property i.e., Apple.

Model – Model of the property i.e., iPhone

Model Number – model variation number i.e. 6S Plus

Serial Number

Owner Applied Number – Owner applied reference number.

 

Select the property from the list of matches and click the property.

 

 

Adding New Property in ARMS

To add a new property, open the property window and select add new. Any information that you enter will be available in the add property window.

 

 

Next select the Category and Type. If the property was recovered from a subject that has been attached to the event, select them from the drop-down menu.

 

 

 

Fill out the information for the property.

 

Property Number – Property control number

Property Category – Evidence, Lost Property, etc.

Property Type – guns, bicycle, etc.

NIBRS Type Property Loss

UCR-NIBRS Description

Date Entered – Date property was added to ARMS.

Quantity – number of property if multiples present.

Date Found – Date property was found if stolen.

 

Make – manufacturer of the property i.e. Apple.

Model – Model of the property i.e., iPhone

Model Number – model variation number i.e., 6S Plus

Value – Total dollar amount

Date Stolen – date property was stolen. 

Serial Number

Location Found – Common name for location.

Street Number

Street Name

Description – any notes for the property 

 

 

 

Editing Property

First select the Edit Property button

 

 

Any of the information you have previously entered can be edited to reflect any changes or additions from new information.

 

 

Removing Property

Press the remove property button and confirm you wish to remove the property.
