ARMS - Case Log - Incidents

The Incidents tab of Case Management allows the user to add, edit or remove crime/incident codes to the case file as well as declaring the state, school, or business as the victim. If the case was generated from CAD the primary crime/incident will be generated from the CAD call.

Declaring Non Person victim

To declare a crime against the state, school, or business as the victim all you have to do is check the correct box located above the crime codes.

Adding a Crime/Incident Code

To add an incident code, select the Add Incident button

Finding the correct incident code is as simple as typing in the crime description, classification, or crime. ARMS will automatically create a list of the top 10 closest matches when you stop typing. If you do not see the crime code you are looking for, continue typing until that crime code appears.

Once you have selected your incident code the Crime Code Section, Crime Class, UCR Data, Cleary Crime Type, and NIBRS data will auto fill with the information associated with the code. The Loss to Organization/Person and Recovery to Organization/Person are fields you will have to manually enter.
