How is the CAD Open Calls List sorted?

Priority calls-

These are the calls that have an officer assigned to them and have a priority number. They are sorted by priority number in either ascending or descending order, as specified in the system’s default configuration.

Calls on hold-

These are the calls that have not had an officer assigned to them. They are assorted by the time received, or if they are given a priority number, they will be sorted by priority.

Assign calls-

These are calls that have officers assigned to them but do not have priority numbers associated with them. These calls are sorted by received time.

The pictures below display an example of multiple calls that are sorted by the system’s defaults.

The calls that have been marked as a higher priority are placed at the top of the list, with the calls that have not been assigned listed first. The department can set lower or higher numbers to mean high priority or calls in the system defaults.
