What can my department do if a student cannot submit an appeal in parking?
If a student is not able to create an appeal on the parking portal for their citation or are receiving an error message do the following below.
In the parking client the officer will need to verify that there is a citation and accounting associated to the affected student/user. To do this navigate to the Parking System -> Persons.

In "Persons" find the person that has the error, and make sure that a citation has been issued for that person.

After verifying that there is a citation, check the "Accounting" tab to verify that there is accounting associated to the citation. If there is not, then the officer will need to create a new citation in order to get accounting. Be sure to recreate this citation exactly the same it was keyed in initially.
To delete a citation, you can simply right click the citation and click delete.

To add the new citation, click on Data Entry -> Quick Citation. Be sure to key in the information the exact same way.

Click "Accept" after the information has been inputted. After the new citation has gone through check to make sure that there is a citation and accounting in each tab in "Persons". Following the completion of these steps the user creating an appeal will be able to do so as normal. If the error still persists, contact ARMS support.
