What is the Dictionary Sync ability in ARMS?

The ARMS Dictionary Sync is a cloud service that allows departments to sync their code lists with ARMS-maintained lists to create a standardized code base.

Currently, there are capabilities of syncing NCIC lists for the vehicle make and model as well as many of the standard FBI NIBRS List values for ARMS.

The lists that are synced to your software are those that conform to industry and national standards.

The ARMS Sync service is hosted in Microsoft’s Azure cloud hosting environment. Your ARMS server downloads the lists from this service.

Using the dictionary sync means less code clean-up for your administrators. With the ARMS lists, you no longer have to worry that your lists are cluttered, misspelled, and full of duplicates.
