If a user is receiving the below error message while working in the Victim Segment please complete the following.
This error message is displayed when an "Aggravated Assault/Homicide Circumstance" was not selected for a UCR Offense Code that was used in the case. Codes 13A, 09A,09B, and 09C will all need a circumstance and type of injury selected in the NIBRS review.
Check the case to confirm which circumstances need to be selected. Click save once verified.
A common follow up error that is prompted on the Victim Segment after adding a circumstance is the "Type Injury" error message.
For any assault UCR Offense Codes the victim will have to have "Type of Injury" selected.
Review the case and select the appropriate injury type code.
The user can then click save on the Victim Segment to get confirmation that the errors have been corrected. If the below message appears move on to the next Segment or NIBRS Review.
