# Announcements - Roll Call & Area Wide Alerts

The Rollcall/AWA module functions as an announcement list which would contain relevant news and communications to agency personnel. It serves as a communication tool to keep teams, departments, or the entire organization informed about key information.

Key features:

- Easy to read format
- Time based visibility with support for start and expiration dates
- Automatically removes outdated content without manual cleanup
- Share announcements with other DHQ agencies using Area Wide Alert (AWA)
- Attach images and utilize optional image scrolls and montages
- Attach documents
- Post announcements and attach images (media capture) from the field with the DHQ Mobile App
- New announcements can be shared via email and by push notification (DHQ mobile app)
