ARMS - CAD - Self Initiated Calls

Self-initiated calls allow officers to enter their own vehicle stops, field interviews, or other incidents to CAD directly and not have to relay information to a dispatcher first to enter the call. The New Call button has pre-generated forms for vehicle stops, secure checks, and field interviews. If there is another incident the officer wished to add they will need to use the other self-initiated to add the event.

One key ability that this gives the officers is to show use the mapping feature built into the Mobile CAD to show the location that the incident occurs.

Vehicle Stops

When an officer pulls over a vehicle they can start to enter the information to be used by CAD including specifying the exact location the stop occurs by using map button.

By placing the location on the map the officer can have the location geo mapped. This will allow the dispatcher to view their actual location and know where to send backup if necessary.

ARMS will automatically add the event and set the officer status to officer assigned.

Secure Checks

Secure Checks are set up to be used when checking a building. The form will auto populate with the current time stamp and activity code of officer initiated, and the incident code of Secure Check.

Field Interviews

Field Interviews are used to show that an officer is in the process of conducting an interview with a subject.

Other Self-Initiated

For any other type of call the officer wishes to add the Other Self-Initiated button will allow the user the ability to fill out the form without any incident preselected.
