CompanyXML File FieldThese values are then compared to the entries found in the [Agencies] section of the ini file. The Dispatch Call information is processed into the corresponding database path.
Call Types
Call Types are looked up based on the CAD_VALUE field in our CAD_MAPPING table. Prior to go-live, a list of all CAD Event Types and translations are loaded into the CAD_MAPPING table. When processing a Call, the CADMonitor looks up the CAD_VALUE and then displays the CAD_TRANSLATION in the Call Type field.
Officers/Dispatchers
Officers and Dispatchers are looked up based on the mappings set in the [Officers] section of the ini file. The format is: Unit Number=Badge Number. The value entered as the “Badge Number “ in the ini file must be entered in the “Badge Number” field in the Personnel Module for the corresponding Officer/Dispatcher. Unit Numbers that have no matching entry are automatically added to the ini file for future mapping purposes.
