### Adding Costs to Crime Codes

Costs can only be set on crimes codes that have had a fine set. To start, select a crimes code that has a fine, and then press the edit button.

1\. With the Code Management window open in edit mode, press the Costs button. This launches the ‘Define Late Fee Costs for Unpaid Fines’ module.

2\. With the ‘Define Late Fee Costs for Unpaid Fines’ module open, press the ‘Add’ button to start setting up the costs for your crime codes.

3\. Select your period from the drop down list (A). Set the value for the period you selected (B). Set the Costs for the period ( C ).

4\. When you have finished, press the save button to save the cost entered.

5\. Repeat steps 2-4 for all the late fees needed on the crimes code.

6\. To correct, or remove a late fee, select the Cost listing you wish to change (A), and then press the edit button (B). To remove the Cost entirely, press the delete button ( C ).
