TraCS Directory Monitor Reboot Configuration
Created by Russ Hartle, Modified on Tue, 11 Nov, 2025 at 10:02 AM by Russ Hartle
The stopping / starting of firebird while the directory monitor is running has caused it to disconnect from the firebird service. As a byproduct none of the XML files would be processed until directory monitor was restarted. Secondly, the files would be moved from the hold directory to the skipped directory. In-Synch development has created the application “TRACSReboot.exe” to remedy this problem. With this change in place Directory monitor watches for a change in the firebird service (ex: reboot/restart). When this condition occurs the directory monitor calls TRACSReboot.exe. The reboot application starts up and immediately terminates the current instance of the directory monitor. Then the reboot application stays running waiting for firebird to come-up. Once firebird comes up, the reboot application starts directory monitor and verifies it is running. The reboot application will eventually terminate after it verifies directory monitor is still running. This is an optional configuration. (This feature is only available in executables dates 03/28/17 and greater.)
To configure this application place the “TRACSReboot.exe” in the in-synch folder. Then add the following configuration settings to the “[ECITE]” settings in the in-synch.ini.
