1. Get the latest files for customer’s version of In-Synch RMS.
- DirectoryWatch.exe
- TRACS_AutoProcess.exe
- TRACSReboot.exe
- ISS_ProcMon.exe
2. Place all 4 files in the In-Synch directory.
3. Right-click on each file and on the Compatibility Tab, make sure “Run this program as administrator” is selected.
4. Create the following directories in a folder titled “TRACS_XML”. Full read/write/delete permissions are required in these folders for the interface to work.
- ARCHIVE
- FILTER
- HOLD
- ISSUES
- SKIPPED
- WASTE
5. Place the following settings in the In-Synch.ini.
- Please ensure to set the appropriate database under the ECITE_AGENCIES section of the ini.
- Ensure all pathing is adjusted accordingly.
- If the officer issuing the citation is considered the arresting officer, set
ArrestingIsIssuing to 1 - If the customer desires to have a call stub made that is linked to the citation, set
MakeCallStub to 1
6. Create a file called “ECITE_ISS.INI” in the In-Synch directory.
7. Place the following settings in the ECITE_ISS.INI file:
8. Create an IssProcMon.ini in the In-Synch directory.
9. Place the following settings in the IssProcMon.ini file:
10. Ensure to apply appropriate permissions to the executables, directories, and ECITE_ISS.INI
11. Ensure all pathing is adjusted accordingly.
12. A scheduled task for ISSProcMon.exe to run every 24 hours needs to be set to keep the interface running smoothly. The scheduled task should launch IssProcmon.exe with the In-Synch folder as the working directory.
13. Once the scheduled task is created and IssProcMon.exe is running, start the interface by running TRACS_DirectoryWatch.exe. If XML files are present in the monitor folder, make sure they are moved to Hold, and then processed.
14. Once the XML files are moved to the archive folder, launch the RMS and verify in the Traffic Citation module that the citations are being imported appropriately.
15. Import Crime Codes from TraCS. More on this step can be found here.
