Using IBRS Mapping Tool

In the state of PA, we send a five-digit code in the 8th state-specific that consists of the two-digit county code followed by the three-digit municipality code. This code can be found on the state-specific 8th segment. At the current moment, the state has different municipality codes for some agencies. This means that the value we generate might be different than what the state expects. To remedy this situation we have a mapping table in the In-Synch RMS. It takes the value in the RMS and maps it to whatever value you desire.
The following tool within Support Tools can help map RMS codes to the desired state code.
1. Click the “IBRS Mapping” button on the “General/Flags” tab within Support Tools.
2. Click the label for “IBRS Mapping Type” in the tool and create an entry for “STATE_MUNICIPALITY_CODE” with a description of “Municipality Code Mapping for PA”
3. Lastly create mappings under the “Municipality Code Mapping for PA” option. The left value should be the value within the In-Synch RMS and the right value needed at the PA IBRS level.
