Criminal Complaint/Juvenile Allegation prerequisites for a SUSPECT
This new feature allows the end user to create a CC/JA from a contact with the role of SUSPECT. This most commonly happens when a CC/JA is needed to get an arrest warrant issued from your Magistrate/Court. Just like contacts with the role of ARRESTEE, certain data fields must be entered in order to generate the CC/JA for a SUSPECT.
From the main Case Builder window, the following data must exist for a JA (recommended for CC):
- Municipality
From the Case Contacts window, the following data must exist for both the CC and the JA:
- A contact with the role of SUSPECT (A)
- At least one crime linked to the SUSPECT (B)
- Affiant Date/Time and Affiant Name (C)
Note: Because the contact has not been arrested, the “Arrested Date/Time” and “Arresting Officer” fields have been changed to “Affiant Date/Time” and “Affiant Name” when the role of SUSPECT is selected.
