M.O.U.
The first step, of getting data sharing started, is to have an M.O.U. filled out. The M.O.U. stands for Memorandum of Understanding. It is an agreement between two, or more agencies that they are willing to share data between them. The M.O.U. needs to be completed with each agency’s name, and signed by a person of authority at the agency (usually the chief). Once that is completed, it needs to be faxed, or mailed to In-Synch Systems.
